Counselling for adults · Central Auckland & online

Kia ora. I'm Nashme.

A safe, supportive space to be heard, at your own pace. I offer integrative, trauma-informed counselling for adults navigating trauma, difficult experiences, and behavioural patterns that no longer serve them. My practice is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with reconnection and understanding, not judgment. I'm an ACC Sensitive Claims Named Provider, working in Central Auckland and online across Aotearoa.

ABOUT ME

What happens when we lose touch with ourselves, and how we find our way back

I'm interested in what happens when we lose touch with ourselves, and how we find our way back. My practice is informed by international training in psychology and the humanities, and I work with people navigating trauma, difficult experiences, and behavioural patterns that no longer serve them. My approach is compassionate, curious, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with understanding and reconnecting with ourselves, not judging who we are. I don't believe there's one "right" way to do therapy. Instead, I weave together a diverse therapeutic toolkit so the work fits you, rather than fitting you into a rigid box. My approach draws from Humanistic therapy, Gestalt, trauma-focused work, somatic therapy, IFS, art therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, Brainspotting, Person-Centred therapy, CBT, DBT, feminist and multicultural approaches, and ACT. Qualifications: B.A. in Psychology (2015); B.A. in Social Sciences and Humanities (2012), Minor in Humanities (2014); NZAC Member; ACC Sensitive Claims Named Provider (Provider ID: PAS812). I support adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, body image, career guidance, chronic illness, depression, divorce, domestic abuse and violence, grief, LGBTQ+ identities, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm, sexual abuse, spirituality, stress, trauma and PTSD, and women's issues. As a Named Provider for ACC Sensitive Claims, I can work with you under ACC funding if you're eligible. You don't need to have everything sorted before you reach out, we can talk through whether this pathway might fit, and what the next step looks like.

How I can help

I offer two pathways: ACC funded counselling through Sensitive Claims, and private sessions. Both are integrative, trauma-informed, and tailored entirely to your pace.

ACC Sensitive Claims Counselling+

ACC can fund counselling for adults who have experienced sexual harm, where there is related mental injury. As a Named Provider, I offer a safe, trauma-informed space to process what happened, at a pace entirely set by you. If you're unsure whether you're eligible, or you're in the early stages of a claim, you can still reach out, I can help you understand the next step.

Private Counselling+

For adults seeking support outside the ACC system. I work with trauma and PTSD using trauma-focused, somatic, and Brainspotting approaches; anxiety and depression drawing from ACT, CBT, and mindfulness; life transitions and identity including divorce, career shifts, and LGBTQ+ experiences; relationships and self-esteem; grief and loss; and domestic abuse and violence always at a pace that feels safe.
